Monica Garza is a Rio Grande Valley native and in 2007 obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Texas – Pan American. Since 2008, she has worked on multiple Phase I – Phase IV clinical trials in various therapeutic areas. In Austin, she worked in a private clinic with a focus on adult endocrinology research, and moved to Houston in 2017 to work in pediatric neurology clinical research at one of the largest children’s hospitals in the U.S. Each position provided her such rewarding experiences in clinical research and patient care. She is enthusiastic to utilize her clinical research experience as STRI’s new QA/QC specialist and join South Texas Research Institute in their mission to bring innovative health care and education to our community.
