Alejandro Flores was born and raised in the neighboring border town of Camargo, Tamaulipas, MX. He completed his high school studies at South Texas ISD for Health Professions. He attended the University of Texas-Pan – American in 2012 focusing on a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Alejandro obtained his medical degree from Universidad Valle de Mexico, graduating as a salutatorian in his class. During his medical school years, he participated in community events to help underdeveloped populations, took part in medical brigades, and was educated at community educational lectures. During his medical internship, he joined the International Medical Observers Program in Houston, TX, and rotated with several specialties at major hospitals such as St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Memorial Hermann. Alejandro is very excited to join STRI and is dedicated to helping the South Texas community in research.
